What the heck is going on with Pinterest? The same thing that is going on with all the social media platforms... they are changing.
Although in this case it was more of a hand slap. Google has changed it's search engine algorithms and as such changed their connection with Pinterest. Before when you did a search on Google (for like example bedroom decor) you were given several selections plus boards from Pinterest to choose from. The problem was that if you wanted to look deeper than the suggested pin, then sometimes Pinterest would require you to create a new account or join to proceed further - having Google doing the work to help Pinterest to create new user accounts.
Google used to also help Pinterest by counting re-pins as well as the original pin which gave a lot of traffic to the searches. Now, with their new algorithms, Google wants a cleaner look to a search and has stopped promoting Pinterest's growth. Google is now combining all pins together to the original pin as one view. Meaning now, with this new search, when looking for bedroom decor you might get some selections from different sources but from Pinterest you should be only getting the original pins that would have come up under the search... not all the other 2000 re-pins from other people that had saved it too.
Snoop is busy checking into this and will hopefully be providing a new update by next week. Bookmark this page to be one of the first informed of what he finds.
Snoop has found several articles about Instagram and Pinterest while searching for stories from something called the World Wide Web... we don't know what that means, but he swears by it...
