My mother was a very creative person and used that touch of Magic for me many times in my life. Then my mother found out she had cancer. She was gone from me within a month of the discovery. Grieving goes through several stages, and as such, the best healing for me was to keep the magic of my mother alive through the creative process of doll making.
Over the years life changes and again I was at a point where my doll making had to either evolve into sculpting my own dolls or let it go. The love I held for my mother and grandmother is very strong and their experiences with dolls had such an influence on me - I couldn’t let the dolls go.
Now my dolls are going to show me more about the Faeries as I delve deeper into understanding them and expressing them through my art. I hope you come along for the journey.
