A small cluster of the Bee-Gs swarmed around her to tell her everything they had knew. First, two little Bee-Gs whose names are Bee-Glad and Bee-Gallant told her about seeing the Dragon walking towards Efem’s Grove. Then Bee-Good and Bee-Gracious mentioned that The CAT already knew about the Dragon as they had seen him gossiping with the Twitterbirds. “I will have to have a talking with that CAT,” Cornelia thought. “He should have told me about the Dragon if he knew about it before my bees.”
Finally, before entering the hive to deposit their nectar, Bee-Gleeful and Bee-Going told her that the Dragon was called ‘Hungry’.
At first Cornelia thought that the Bee-Gs had gotten it wrong, but after much buzzing, she realized that Hungry was indeed the Dragon's name.
Soon she could hear Nemmer walking up the path humming to himself as he was returning from archery practice. He liked to teach the younger archers how to be an Appleshot in the Guild like he was. Cornelia was in a tizzy (as she was excited to let her husband know about the good news), so she finished her work with the hives faster than normal.
“What was Bee-Joyful telling you about?” asked Nemmer. “You looked so interested and then you smiled. Did Bee-Joyful finally figure out…”
Cornelia quickly raised her finger to her mouth and shushed Nemmer before he could finish his sentence. Looking to make sure that Bee-Joyful was not near, she whispered to her husband. “Don’t you dare tell him I ran out of ‘G’ words. He doesn’t need to know it. Especially since it still sounds like it starts with 'G'. They are not Spelling Bees after all. Now go into the cottage, I have something important to tell you. A Dragon is back in the Realm!”
