The Herald, Aralt
Aralt is a cool customer and likes to keep things close to his chest. He is one of the few remaining elves that were in the Realms before dragons received their magic from the Nyte Shades. He might be a little vain as he earned thst grey in his hair through wisdom and experience but he likes to use a little magical glamour to keep his true age hidden. (Humans didn't come by Botox naturally you know.)
With his knowledge also came power that he uses to "manage" the Dragons. The Emerald Dragon Heart Stone that he encased in a locket never leaves his side for it allows him to "mind-talk" with the various Dragons.

The first and only Herald has been Aralt as no others have ever held the office. He helped form the Dragon Clan system and before the Dragons left the Realms to someplace that Aralt could not follow, he worked with the ruling Wish Dragon. The last Wish Dragon before the exodus was a female Dragon who ruled over all other Dragons.
Little did she know when she "bribed" Aralt to help her stay in power with gifting him the golden corolla, that she gave him the means to control the Dragons.
When Aralt placed the corolla on his brow, the Emerald Dragon Heart Stone attuned to it and gave the elf unimagined power. He could now convince and persuade any Dragon to follow his commands. The first time it happened, Aralt knew that only he could take care of the Dragon menace that threatened the Realms. That was also the beginning of his own corruption...
