Dewin the Wizard
Dewin the Wizard has spent his life in the pursuit of knowledge, both arcane and exotic. He has studied with the Druids, learned astronomy with the Stargazers, and has expanded his magical abilities with Fae magic obtained while being held in the Shadow's Realm. All of his magical pursuits have all hinged on one mission though - to find a Wish Dragon.
Why a Wish Dragon? One day, a long time ago, Dewin had been visiting a small village. While he was walking through the village, the sky darkened and the ground began to rumble. The next thing he knew, the sky was clear and the scenery had changed. Even though he was in the same village, everything else had moved. At the time he did not know how far, but the magic that was usually difficult for him to feel now was much stronger. What had happened he wondered? Much later he discovered that a Wish Dragon had landed on the mountain top overlooking the village. This caused the mountain to crumble and it started to slide towards the sleepy village below. The Dragon didn't think before just 'wishing' the entire village some place safe and out of harm's way. |
The Dragon had just thought of the safest place it knew - home. So it has now been many years that Dewin has lived with the Fae of the realms trying to return to his home. It was when he finally discovered the story of the Dragon Clan and how they failed their duty to the Wish Dragons (causing all Dragons to disappear - but that is a different story), is when he found out what it was that kept him from returning home. He needed a Wish Dragon to reverse the wish that had brought him to the Realm of Wymsy but all of the Dragons were gone!
Until now! It seems recently one has been sighted "I must find this Dragon first! I'll convince it to reverse the spell. It is the only way I can get home." So, as Dewin continues his divinations by consulting his maps of both the realms and the stars, delving into his magics, and using his magical crystal ball, he continues to search for the mysterious young Dragon. "Where is that Dragon? I must find it!" he keeps telling himself. |
