This is the Day!

As Roslie and Granny were sitting in the library talking about Dragonfaust Day, there was one determined elf scouting out her plans for this year's Race. 

Lallan had been chasing after Seamus for years and in elf years that is truly a long time.  "But this year is going to be different," thought Lallan to herself.  "I am going to have a plan!"

"Don't know for sure what it will be, but I am sure whatever I come up with---it will work!" with that thought in mind Lallan went off to prepare.

Now Seamus was a serious, almost bookish, type of man.  Nothing he liked more than to be curled up in front of his warm fire with a good book in his favorite chair and his favorite brew next to him.  

He knew that some considered him standoffish, but really he just enjoyed his books more than socializing.  He didn't even have a clue that Lallan was sweet on him, let alone wanted to go out on a date. 

Before you knew it Dragonfaust Day arrived!  The day that bachelor's feared and the females knew that the rules of the race was that there were No Rules!  Now some of the lasses would be coy and bat their lashes to catch the attention of the intended "date".  But since Seamus never traveled far from his home, Lallan had to be a bit more "brilliant"!

So it came to Seamus' surprise that he found himself out in the woods with this feeling of being chased.  He wasn't sure how this happened.  

Maybe it was that bachelor 'sixth' sense that told him something was just not right... maybe it was that feeling of being watched, but Seamus just knew that he had to get to his safe space as quickly as possible - back to his books.  And when he finds his way home he was certainly going to make sure that lock on the door was bolted!

"Aha!  Got ya!" Lallan yelled as she proceeded to tie Seamus up so that she could finish the traditions of the Dragonfaust Race and thereby win her "date" with Seamus. 

After dragging Seamus across the finish line and having him declared 'officially' caught, Lallan realized as she watched them take off the net and ropes she used to tie Seamus, another thought struck her!  

"Now what do I do with him?"
