We're Going Home...

​As the Dowager is gathering everyone to meet at the cave where they sighted the portal, Siate’, the She Dragon, was just finishing hearing about Aralt’s adventures during the time they had been separated from each other.  When he finally took a breath from his last story about himself, the Dragon had formulated her plan and Aralt’s part to play in it.​​“Herald, now that we are about to return to our homeland, I wonder if anything has changed that we should be aware of?  How long have you been been here?” she asked Aralt.

Before he thought about it he casually answered  “It hasn’t changed much,” he started to tell her – then he stopped.

​“Yes?  Is there something?” Siate’ asked.

​Aralt thought about what he should tell her about the one and only Dragon he had seen while in the Realm of Wymsy. Deciding that telling her his experience shouldn’t hurt him he continued, “I have recently met a young Dragon and from what the villagers have said this Dragon is the only one they have seen in a very long time.”  

Surprised that he even had found one since the She Dragon thought all of the Dragons had stayed together with her.​  ​She just looked at the Herald and said, “Continue.  Why was a Dragon there and where was it from?”

​Not realizing this information had surprised the mighty Dragon, Aralt continued on about his meeting with Dree.  “He isn’t very bright and I felt no real magical power when I met him.  He didn’t even know that I was a Dragon Herald.  The locals call him Dree and apparently he spends a lot of times with a rat.  He said that there were some adult Dragons to the south of the where the portal opens into the Realm of Wymsy.”

​“Yes, they were my scouts." Siate' remarked to Aralt.

"But could there have been Dragons that had chosen to stay behind?  How powerful are they,” Siate’ wondered? They could mess up her plans.  Now she knew she would need to have the Herald on her side to make it easier to convince any of these new Dragons of her dominance.  “I think it is time for us to make ourselves known in our homeland.”  With that the mighty Dragon sent out her mind speak thoughts and told the other Dragons with her that it was time for them to all gather.  

​They would use the portal to regain their old land.  “Lead the way Herald for you will be the best one to introduce us to our new neighbors,” she told Aralt as she motioned for him towards the portal entrance.
