Spite's Wings
I use modeling film for Spite's wings. It allows me to melt it and shape to the desired form. To make it easier to cut through (as the type I like for wings is thicker than a piece of paper) I use a heating wand instead of scissors or a regular blade. The clear film is first laid over a pattern and the wing outline is traced.

I pulled together my new paint I wanted to try which is called Gouache. I mixed it with Mod Podge so the paint would stick to the film and possibly give it a slight sheen. I wouldn't do this the next time as Mod Podge as it didn't give it the glow I was looking for.

After painting the wings and letting them dry, it was then time to shape them. I did this with an electric wand. |

The tweezers were necessary as that air gets pretty hot, but it is fun to work with the film and makes it easy to shape.
Since the Mod Podge didn't give the shiny finish I wanted, I still sprayed the wings with a clear acrylic spray and added a touch of glitter to them (isn't everything more magical with glitter?)...
