Developing a Character just by looking at the color of his hair. Does wisdom come with greying? Does character develop with age? This is how a personality develops during the dollmaking process.
It is all in the details that makes a character come to life. In working on my new character's costume, I am on the hunt to find the right elements just for him. It is small charms like this dragon that can enhance a character outfit and bring out the magic. These are the special details that go into handmake artdolls and truly make them unique and one-of-a-kind
The costuming designing begins with the color palette. I have two favorite fabrics here that I like and glad they worked together. What do you think of the sparkly green? Does it remind you of dragon scales like it does to me?
Eyes are one of the most important part of one of my characters. As eyes are the window to the soul which is why not only getting the right size is important but also the color. What will give them a spark to their character? What will make them come alive? It is the right color of eye that will draw you in and be a great contrast to the hair or enhance their costume.
