Hir'aeth was so filled with anticipation when his minion told him where Hungry was that quickly he dismissed the other retainers who were waiting for a word from him at his royal court. Quietly he got up and slipped out a secret doorway that only Rave and him knew about. "You have done well Rave," the Gooblin King said as the quickly walked in the direction of the honey hive. "My other spies reported to me that stupid troll calling himself the Troll King still is waiting for his minions to find both the Dragon and the tablet. Druzzy will be furious when he finds out that I have met Hungry first," chuckled the Gooblin King. Soon they approached the honey hive to find Hungry smacking his lips and telling the bees that this was the best treat he had ever eaten.
"Thanks Rave. You are a true friend! The snack was great and the bees tell me that they must be cousins of mine because of our wings being similar." Holding his hand near his mouth so the bees could not see, Hungry whispered to the mechanical bird, "but Dewin told me that not how it works." Realizing that the Gooblin King was beginning to get impatient, quickly Rave introduced the King to the Wish Dragon. "Hungry, I am here to make friends with you and to ask your assistance," Hir'aeth told him. "I understand that a Dragon tablet has been found and I am asking if you would read it for me?" At first Hungry did not understand the question. "What is a Dragon tablet?" he asked. "It is a book or scroll that one of your ancestors wrote to leave us a message," replied Rave before the Gooblin King could answer. "Oh, I have seen some of those in my classes," answered Hungry. "I am being taught how to read but haven't quit mastered it yet." Rarely was the Gooblin King caught unawares. Kings do not stay kings long if others can outmaneuver them. This was one of those times! Not expecting this answer, the Gooblin King did not know what to do. As Rave talked more to the Wish Dragon, it finally dawned on Hir'aeth that it did not matter what was written on the tablet. He was just wanting to make sure that Druzzy did not get it. "Hungry, help me get the tablet and I will give it to you. Consider it a present to start your own library," Hir'aeth told the Dragon. "I don't know where it is," answered Hungry. "Do you?" This time the Gooblin King was ready for the question and had an answer. "I do and I will have Rave take you to it." Now Hir'aeth did not know where it was (exactly), but he did know where the Troll King's minion, Drat, was and if anyone was close to the Borrower with the Dragon tablet, it would be Drat. Whispering to Rave what to do, the Gooblin King bide them goodbye and started back to his throne room so he could put the rest of his plan of embarrassing the Troll King into motion. "Rave, do you know if there will be food where we are going? The honey was nice, but it doesn't seem to be keeping me filled very long," asked Hungry as he licked his lips again. The mechanical bird (if he could have) would have shrugged his shoulders and shook his head. Instead he only said, "Follow me" and leaped into the air.

Meanwhile, on the ground below, Hungry was still looking for someone to play with. He was finding that skipping class was only fun if you had someone else to spend that time with. All alone and just wandering around in the woods was turning pretty dull to say the least. "I wish... oops... I should not use those words," the Wish Dragon reminded himself. "I wonder where Meen (pronounced 'min') could be?" he muttered. Hungry had already checked the toad pond, the mushroom grove, and even The Wishing Well, but still no Meen. He had thought about playing 'knock, knock games' with the well, but most of the jokes the well used didn't make any sense to him.
It was Rave who was wondering how to keep the Wish Dragon there so it could tell its master, Hir'aeth, the Gooblin King, that it had found him. As Rave landed it heard a loud growling noise and realized that the sound was the Wish Dragon's stomach. Deciding that this might be the opportunity it was looking for cleared it's throat and said, "It sounds like you are hungry and if you eat birds I will let you know I am not very tasty." Startled to hear someone talking to him, Hungry looked around but did not see anyone. "Who said that?" he asked, "And I don't eat birds! I prefer something much sweeter like the pastries from the Sugar Plum bakery would be nice..." Deciding it was safe and that Hungry was indeed hungry, Rave quickly made up it's mind and decided to lead the Wish Dragon to a place that would keep him busy for a while. "Long enough for the King to arrive," hoped the minion. "If you will follow me, I can take you to a tree that has a large honey hive in it," Rave told the Dragon. "They are friends of mine and if you are nice to them and because you have small wings like them, they will share some of their honey with you." "Oh, that sounds delicious!" sighed Hungry. "Lead the way! By the way, my name is Hungry." "I am called Rave," answered the mechanical bird before it leapt from the branch and started flying to the honey tree so the Wish Dragon could follow. "With the tree being close to Hir'aeth's kingdom, I should be able to leave Hungry at the tree, get the Troll King and return before the Dragon even knows I have left," Rave chuckled. "Especially as hungry (which made Rave chuckle even more at the thought of Hungry being hungry) as he seems." And if you really like to sample one of the Bee's special treat, try this recipe by clicking this link. Hungry approved.
He too wanted to hear what the Goodies had to say and maybe learn something else about the Dragon tablet for the Troll King. The problem was that when Arnie crossed the threshold of the door, what looked like a circular bundle of sticks over the doorway turned into a tangle of snakes! Since rats and snakes don't get along very well together (unless one knows he is invited to be the dinner which doesn't usually turn out well for the rat), Drat jumped back from the doorway just in time to hear Goodie2shues tell Arnie to close the door. "Ugh! I hate snakes," shuddered Drat as he heard the lock on the door click shut. Knowing he was now locked out of the cottage did not slow Drat down though. Quickly he started walking around the cottage trying to peek into the windows to see if he could at least see what was going on. But as he approached every window either they closed their shutters or the curtain hanging over it blew together tightly. "Oh Drat!" muttered the rat.
Watching the two laughing so hard finally got the rat to start smiling and even he started to snicker. "All right, fun time is over. Now what was so funny?" again asked Drat. "You are!" answered the Wysp. When you said 'Drat' we thought you were talking to yourself until we realized you were frustrated... When Drat finally figured out what the Wysp was telling him, he just shook his head from side-to-side and groaned, "I have got to get different traveling companions." With the three waiting on the doorsteps discussing what they were going to do now (especially with two of them hoping to get another chance at the obtaining the Dragon tablet), and Arnie inside the cottage, the Dowager over at the Shadows King's castle was planning her next steps also.
"Since an ancient Nyte Shade had given their magic to the dragons it made sense that the flutterby could feel the Dragon magic in the princess," Griselda realized. Soon she was in one of the guest rooms and was preparing for her next conversation with Ffion. "I must see how much the princess knows about her heritage and if she is aware of the connection with the Dragons," thought Griselda. "But first, I must get a message to Awena." Realizing that using a flutterby to send a secret message might not be the best option at the moment (especially if they were attracted to Ffion), the Dowager decided to use the next best thing. Quickly she took out a small package that she had been carrying with her and began her message. Opening a window in her room, she soon spotted a small Bee-G buzzing around a strange looking flower (it was in fact B-Glad who had been sent by Cornelia for some pollen from one of the plants that only grew in the Shadows King's garden). She waved the package in the air so the Bee-G could see it.
A little bewildered, Arnie looked around and tried to decide where was the safest place to sit. There was so much going on in the room! Something was brewing in the fireplace (and it smelled really good) and piles of books were stacked up several high (and appeared that the slightest touch would send them tumbling to the floor), but Arnie finally found a chair she considered safe enough to sit on a little further in the room. As Arnie sat, Goodie2shues shouted out from behind the curtain, "I would have been ready if the Spoon had let me know when you were expected, but that is Goodie4U's job. She does like keeping her secrets about when something should happen because she just loves drop-in guests that surprise us. But then Arnie, you wouldn't know about secrets would you?" Arnie was still trying to figure out how this somebody even knew her name and guiltily about her secret tablet. "I shouldn't spend so much time in the sauna (kiln) but it feels so good and brings a little color to me" Goodie2shues continued to shout out to Arnie. "Perfection should not be rushed and if I don't find my slippers, it is just hard for me to get dressed. Some fae think it is the dress that makes them. Nooooo! It's the shoes. The perfect pair of shoes makes the outfit and its where I begin when dressing. Why put on a silly brown dress if that doesn't make my slippers look dazzling?" Arnie just shook her head from side to side as she couldn't understand this fascination with shoes. "If she was talking about a key collection, now that would be something to get excited about," Arnie thought to herself as she touched the keys she had hanging around her waist. "The Spoon did show me what you want most though Arnie," Goodie2shues continued talking through the curtain. "Are you sure you are ready for what the tablet reveals?" Arnie was shocked! Goodie2shues even knew about the tablet and she hadn't even shown it to her yet. "Pinch me!** What is going on here?" Arnie nervously wondered as she jumped up from her chair.
