A Wizard's Past... how the heck did I get here?

Dewin gazed into his crystal ball, searching for a clue to where this young Dragon he has been hearing about may be.  Whispering to himself, "It has been such a long time since I have seen a Dragon."  He then slightly shook his head, realizing that lately he had started talking to himself.  "But as long as I don't answer myself then I am okay" he chuckled.

​As Dewin continued to stare into the crystal ball,  he remembered the last time he had seen a Wish Dragon.  The memory flashed quickly across his mind as did the anger too.

It had been when the Dragon had transported him from his world to this unknown realm.  Before that day, Dewin had never seen a Dragon though he had  heard about them from the stories told by Myrddin.

Dewin had been visiting a small village that fateful day.  While he was walking through the village, the sky darkened and the ground began to rumble. As the buildings started to shake, Dewin threw up his arms trying to cast a protection spell as he was thrown to the ground.  The next thing he knew, the sky was clear and the scenery had changed.  Even as he was in the same village, everything else had changed. The trees and the foliage all now glowed and shimmered like they hadn't before.  The magic that was usually difficult to feel now also felt stronger - more available.  It seemed the village was not where it had been the day before.  

It took several days before Dewin found out what had happened.  A Wish Dragon apparently had landed on the mountain top overlooking the village.  This caused the mountain to crumble sending chaos and rubble towards the sleepy village below.  The Dragon didn't think but just 'wished' the entire village some place safe and out of harm's way.  All it took was for the Dragon to "wish" for no place like home... and here they were in the realm of where Dragon's lived.

So it has now been many years that Dewin has lived with the Fae of the realms trying to return home.  It was when he finally discovered the story of the Dragon Clan and how they failed their duty to the Wish Dragons, causing all Dragons to disappear,  that explained what it was that kept him from returning home.  He needed a Wish Dragon to reverse the wish that had brought him to the Realm of Wymsy and now all the dragons were gone!

Until now!  It seems recently one has been sighted or actually it was because of a conversation he had with an ancient troll where Dewin was told of signs that a young Dragon had returned to the realms.  "I must find this Dragon first! I'll convince it to reverse the spell.  It is the only way I can get home," Dewin muttered.  Again realizing that he was talking to himself, he decided that again it was alright.  "I am still not answering myself," he thought.
