As Spite... no... as Sprigg'n sat on the pillow given to her by the Wishing Well, she wondered if maybe the Magic Mirror would be willing to help her again by telling what she should do next. "Oh Magic Mirror in my hand, where next should I go in all of the land?" The mirror started to glow again and shortly Sprigg'n heard the answer. "First off, if you don't knock off the rhyming, I won't answer. I got enough of that from the Wishing Well. It was either that or an endless supply of 'knock, knock' jokes. So stop it with the rhyming and no 'knock, knock' jokes! Okay?" |
Quickly Sprigg'n focused all of her mind on the glowing mirror before it changed it's mind. It started out with a blue glow but soon a picture appeared. It was a Troll with a young Dryad boy walking in the woods. "Too bad I can't hear what they are saying," said the Spite to herself. "All you had to do is ask," replied the mirror. Instantly the conversation between the Troll and Dryad came out of the mirror. "I told you Sprout, the prophecy will require both a Troll and a Dryad. Awena thinks that I am the Troll, but she did not tell me who she thinks the Dryad could be," said Hewy. |
"One more time only," answered the Troll. "Here it is...
as the dryad who has forsaken it's way;
the troll will mend what was once broken
as they both must gain the Dragyn 's token.
Slowly the picture faded again and all that appeared in the magic mirror was a blue glow. "A Wish Dragon huh? I wonder who will find it first?" Sprigg'n mused out loud. Instantly a new image appeared in the mirror before she realized that the Magic Mirror thought she was asking another request. It was The CAT! Even Sprigg'n knew about The CAT. "Now how was he involved?" she wondered, but this time she did not ask that question out loud because she was not sure she wanted to see what the mirror might show her... |
