What, Why & ...

"The Food Fight was just going to have to wait since receiving the summons from Griselda," thought Goodie4U.  It didn't take very long for her to put on her shoes and grab her hat. Her sisters stood in the kitchen waiting for her as she donned the hat and as she started for the door she asked them what they were waiting for. "Come on you two, we shouldn't be dallying," Goodie4U told them as she opened the door and started outside. 

Her sisters only looked at each other while shaking their heads from side to side.  As Goodiegood was the last out the door, she waved her hand and fingers in such a way that as she closed the door, the circle of twigs inside of the cottage over the door twisted together and locked it.  Goodiegood heard the clicking sound and thought, "Better to be safe than sorry," as she heard Goodie2shues say "Now off to the council meeting".

Soon the three sisters were walking on the trail to the Village on the Wall.  As Goodie2shues was casting a protection spell to keep her shoes from getting dusty from the trail, she was also re-telling her sisters again the message from the Flutterby.

"I wonder what could have made Griselda change the location?" Good4U asked her sisters.

"Personally, I would rather have had it at the Baron's Mansion," Goodiegood said.  "It is so much nicer than that chilly old Council Chamber in the village especially as the Baron's batman, Fiddlefaddle, does make such a savory cup of tea."

"I am sure the Dowager had a good reason why," replied Goodie2shues.

For a while afterwards they continued down the trail in silence.  Each of the sisters thinking about how much could she tell the others at the meeting.  It was Goodie4U who started talking first.  "Sisters.  It is all my fault for the meeting.  As I was visiting the Outie world, I had a vision.  It was the return of the Dragons."

Before she could continue, Goodie2shues spoke.  "I too had a vision while using the Baking Spoon.  That we decided to help Hungry, Oops, I mean Drai'ochtluan (AKA Dree) is why the Dragons could return.  At first I could not understand why that would be a problem.  We have all missed them since they left, but then I started thinking about possibilities.  Some of the whys and therefores did start to concern me.   Oh Batter!  Sisters. Have we bitten off more than we can chew?"

​For several more paces no one spoke, but the two youngest sisters kept turning to look at their eldest sister to see if she was going to add anything.

Just when they thought she wouldn't, Goodiegood started to speak.  "Yesterday I was using my ol' scrying baking bowl because something was nagging at me.  At first, I thought it was a new recipe trying to get out so I could write it down in my cookbook. Then I realized that it was something else."  Goodiegood continued to describe on how her bowl looked in the vision.  "At first the inside of the bowl appeared full.  Then partially empty, then to empty, and then back to partially full." 

​"But this was the strange part - when the bowl was partially empty, it looked more like a crescent shape and on the opposite side of where it was the first time, before going back to full," finished Goodiegood.

​"This happened several times before it stopped.  When it did, I too saw a Dragon... but it wasn't Dree I don't think.  It was flying in front of the moon and all I could see was an outline but it seemed smaller than Dree.  As I have been thinking about it as to who this could be,  then this message came from the Dowager, plus you both having seen the return of the Dragons, it is definitely a sign.  The problem is that I don't know what is baking!" Goodiegood continued.

As the sisters approached the village, they still had not decided amongst themselves what to tell the council or if there was a way they could control what might arise in the conversation.  "This can definitely be a recipe for disaster," thought Goodiegood as she entered the council chambers after her sisters.
